On-Land Maintenance
On-Land Maintenance includes primary tasks such as antifouling (bottom anti-fouling paint), hull polishing, deck polishing, chrome polishing, teak cleaning, and maintenance of the propeller and shaft.
These maintenance tasks are generally difficult or impossible to perform while the boat is in the water. Therefore, when your boat is taken on land, it will be both easier to carry out and more cost-effective.
Antifouling
Antifouling application should be performed annually on commercial vessels and at most every two years on private yachts. The primary reason for applying antifouling is to prevent the formation of barnacles and other marine organisms. Additionally, it helps take precautions against potential osmosis issues that may arise on your boat.
Before the antifouling application, any barnacles and similar organisms on the underside of the boat should be cleaned off. It is important to identify the brand and model of the old paint in the area where the application will take place; otherwise, several layers of sanding may be required before applying a compatible primer and then the antifouling paint.
Hull Polishing
If the hull has not undergone polishing and waxing for an extended period, color changes and cracks may occur on the surface. In such cases, hull polishing should be performed by professionals. After this process, your boat will not only look cleaner and shinier but also have a surface that retains less water.
Deck Polishing
Just like the hull, the deck of our boat also requires maintenance. Over time, exposure to sunlight, salty seawater, and external dirt can deform the surface of the deck and cause it to lose its color. In such cases, deck maintenance becomes extremely challenging, and deck polishing and waxing should be carried out by professionals.
Chrome Polishing
The chrome fittings on the boat are important for both safety and appearance. However, due to the effects of seawater and sunlight, they can become discolored and may rust over time, along with scratches. To prevent this or to eliminate this undesirable appearance, it is necessary to perform a chrome polishing application. This way, our chrome fittings not only have a longer lifespan but also achieve a bright, eye-catching appearance.
Tik Temizliği
Teak wood application on boat surfaces is done frequently due to its excellent resistance to sunlight and moisture. However, over time, teak coverings can become deformed and lose their natural appearance. In this case, performing teak maintenance will help prevent premature teak replacement. After cleaning with special cleaners, using special teak oil enhances the appearance of the teak wood and extends its lifespan.
